INTRODUCTION

ROGIRU is the flagship board game by 8doodles. On a single 6×6 board, you will find four different strategic games — simple in rules, yet full of excitement and unexpected twists. Thanks to special fields, a dice-based movement system, and unique pawns combined with online cards, every game feels different. ROGIRU blends a classic board game with modern digital features you won’t find in any other game.

ROGIRU is a game designed to teach both patience and quick reaction. It was never meant to be just entertainment — it is treated as a path of development, where every move matters and every decision teaches something new.

The name ROGIRU comes from three ideas:

RO – choice and the moment of decision.
GI – strategy, intelligence, and foresight.
RU – movement and action.

Decision and movement — with no single path to victory. Sometimes you win through strategy, sometimes through speed, and sometimes thanks to an unexpected turn of events.

Each game is a small lesson — showing that even simple rules can create endless possibilities. That is why ROGIRU is not just a game — it is an experience that evolves with the player.

GAME COMPONENTS

• Double-sided board (main side 6×6 with special fields, reverse side – additional games)
• 4 black pawns
• 4 white pawns
• 2 dice (black and white)
• 2 online card tokens (optional)
• NFC keychain with access to the 8doodles platform (online cards, extensions)

GENERAL RULES OF ROGIRU

GAME SETUP

Choose the game you want to play
Each player selects a pawn color (black or white)
Place pawns on the starting fields
(Optional) Place 2 online card tokens on any fields on the board

TWO MOVEMENT SYSTEMS

• Distance System
  Roll both dice:

black die result → movement of the black pawn
white die result → movement of the white pawn

• Coordinate System
  Rolling both dice determines a position on the board (X–Y), where a pawn is placed.
  X – Black rows
  Y – White columns

ROLL “6” RULE

If a move would end on the same field from which the pawn started, the move is lost.

INFINITE BOARD (CONTINUOUS MOVEMENT)

The board has no edges — movement continues across the opposite side.

• moving left → pawn appears on the right side
• moving up → pawn appears at the bottom

Example: If 3 spaces remain to the edge and the move is 5, the pawn continues on the opposite side and completes the remaining 2 spaces.

STARTING FIELDS

Used only for initial placement or after a pawn is captured.
They are not part of the active board.

TOKENS & ONLINE CARDS (OPTIONAL)

• If a pawn lands on a token → the player draws an online card
• After use, the token is moved to a new field
• If a token is placed on a special field → that field loses its function

Thanks to online cards, every game can feel different.

SPECIAL FIELDS

Attraction Field (green – corners of the board)

The pawn attracts all pawns from the same vertical and horizontal line, pulling them toward the corner.

Swap Field (blue – arrows)

The pawn swaps positions with another pawn in the same line.

Strike Field (yellow)

All opponent pawns in the direction of the arrow return to the starting fields.

Teleport Field (red)

The pawn moves to another teleport field.
If all are occupied, the move is lost.

Catch Me

Goal: capture an opponent’s pawn by trapping it between two of your own (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally)

movement: vertical / horizontal
infinite board: active
special fields: active

3 Diagonally

Goal: align 3 pawns diagonally

movement: vertical / horizontal
infinite board: active
special fields: active

4 in a Row

Goal: align 4 pawns horizontally or vertically

movement: vertical / horizontal / diagonal
infinite board: active
special fields: active

The Castle

Goal: create a 2×2 formation with your pawns

movement: vertical / horizontal / diagonal
infinite board: active
special fields: active

ROGIRU is a game that evolves over time. The online card system introduces variation and ensures that each session can feel different. Card categories, effects, and usage can be expanded and modified over time. There is no single fixed way to play. You can experiment with your own rules, pacing, and use of cards. ROGIRU encourages creating your own variations and adapting the game to your style.

The 8doodles platform provides access to:

Thanks to NFC integration, all game elements are accessible instantly — without searching for separate instructions or components. As the platform develops, new card sets, gameplay variations, and add-ons become available, which can be introduced into the game at any time.
