Good luck on your journey!
THE HALLWAY DOOR
The First Place. The screen opens slowly. You are standing in a quiet hallway. The lights are on, but everything feels strangely still. In front of you, there is a simple wooden door. It looks ordinary, but something is different. On the door, someone has written one word: “OPEN”.
Below it, you see a small note: “To begin, type the word you see.”
YOUR TASK
Look at the word written on the door. Enter the correct word to open the first door and move to the next place.
The answer is written directly on the door.
…The word disappears from the door. You hear a soft click. The handle turns by itself, and the door opens into a place that should not be behind this hallway. You step through the door and begin the next part of your adventure. Good Luck!
THE NEW PLACE
You step forward. The hallway is gone. Now you are standing on an empty city street. Tall buildings rise on both sides, but every window is dark. The traffic lights are working, the street signs are clean, and the crosswalk is waiting — but there are no cars, no people, and no sound except the wind moving between the buildings.
On a bus stop sign, you notice a short message: “Every journey begins with one word.”
Below the message, someone has scratched five letters into the metal frame:
S T A _ _
YOUR TASK
Complete the missing word. This word means the beginning of a journey.
The word means the beginning of something.
…When you type the word, the bus stop sign flickers. The missing letter appears by itself. A door-shaped shadow forms on the glass wall of the bus stop. It slowly becomes solid, as if the street itself is building the next doorway for you. You step through the door and begin the next part of your adventure.
STEAM BEHIND THE GLASS
You are standing in front of a small coffee shop. The street behind you has disappeared. Inside the shop, the lights are warm, the chairs are empty, and soft music plays from somewhere behind the counter. On one table, you see a cup of coffee. Steam rises from it in slow circles, as if the drink was made only a moment ago.
On the window, three words are written in white marker:
Below them, there is a short message: “Choose the word that belongs to the cup.”
YOUR TASK
Look at the cup on the table. Which word best describes the coffee? Enter the correct word to open the next door.
Write this word in your Travel Log. You may need it later.
Steam usually rises from something warm or hot.
…The steam above the cup twists into the shape of a small key. For one second, the word HOT glows on the window. Then the coffee shop lights flicker, and a narrow door appears behind the counter where no door was before. You step through the door and begin the next part of your adventure.
THE PLATFORM WITH NO TRAIN
You step onto an empty train platform. The air smells like rain and metal. The tracks stretch in both directions, but there is no train, no passengers, and no voice from the speakers. Only the large departure board above the platform is still working.
It shows three directions:
Below them, a message begins to blink: “One direction is missing. Find it, and the next door will arrive.”
YOUR TASK
Look at the directions on the departure board. Which direction is missing? Enter the correct word to open the next door. Collect This Letter. Write this letter in your Travel Log: “O”. You may need it later.
The four main directions are north, east, south, and west.
…The word SOUTH appears on the board. A train whistle sounds somewhere in the distance, but no train comes. Instead, a door rises slowly from the platform floor, its frame shining like polished steel. The departure board changes one last time: “Next stop: unknown.” You step through the door and begin the next part of your adventure.
FOOTPRINTS AFTER THE RAIN
You are standing in a quiet city park. The grass is wet. The trees are dripping. Small puddles cover the path, reflecting pieces of gray sky above you. On a wooden bench, you find a soaked paper note. Most of the ink has disappeared, but five words are still visible:
Below the words, one sentence remains: “Which word fell from the sky?”
YOUR TASK
Read the words on the wet note. Which word best answers the question? Enter the correct word to open the next door. Collect This Word. Write that correct word in your Travel Log.
Look for the word that comes from the clouds.
…The puddles on the path begin to ripple, even though nothing is falling from the sky. The word RAIN appears for a moment in the reflection beneath your feet. Then the largest puddle turns dark and still, like glass. A door appears inside its reflection, waiting for you to step through. You step through the door and begin the next part of your adventure.
THE BUILDING WITH 8 FLOORS
You step into a quiet hotel corridor. A sign on the wall says: FLOORS: 8. The carpet is soft, the lights are dim, and every room door is closed. At the end of the hallway, an elevator stands open, waiting for you. You walk inside.
The panel should show numbers from 1 to 8, but the buttons have been replaced with letters:
V — A — T — E — R — O — L — E
A small message is scratched into the metal panel: “This building has 8 floors, but the answer is not a floor number.”
YOUR TASK
Look at the letters on the elevator panel. Arrange all 8 letters into the word that names the moving room you are standing in. Enter the correct word to open the next door. Collect This Letter. Write this letter in your Travel Log: “M”. You may need it later.
Use all 8 letters. The answer names the place you are standing in.
…The elevator doors close. For a moment, nothing moves. Then the floor drops slightly, the lights blink, and the elevator begins to travel in a direction that is not up or down. When the doors open again, there is no hotel corridor outside — only another doorway waiting in silence. You step through the door and begin the next part of your adventure.
THE TABLE OF THREE BOOKS
You are standing inside a library after closing time. The lights are low. The reading tables are empty. Long shelves stretch into the darkness, but one small table is lit by a single desk lamp.
On the table, there are three books:
Next to them lies a folded note: “You have crossed streets, platforms, parks, and rooms. If you do not know where to go next, you need one.”
YOUR TASK
Think about what helps someone find the way. Enter the word for something that shows places, routes, and directions. Write the correct word in your Travel Log. You may need it later.
It can show streets, routes, cities, and directions.
…The book titled Hidden Places opens by itself. A small paper map slides out from between the pages. For a moment, you see lines connecting all the places you have visited. Then the lines fold together into the shape of a door. The library shelves shift, creating a narrow passage between the books. You step through the door and begin the next part of your adventure.
THE MAZE UNDER THE TREES
You are standing in a forest so dense that the sky almost disappears. Between the trees, you see broken stone walls covered with moss and roots. They form the remains of an old maze, hidden under the forest for many years. At the center of the maze stands an ancient stone gate. It has no handle, no lock, and no visible door — only five carved spaces where a word should be.
Above the empty spaces, one damaged inscription remains:
L I G _ T
Below it, someone has carved a warning into the stone: “Without this, the maze never shows the way.”
YOUR TASK
Complete the missing word. Enter the full word to activate the ancient gate.
The answer is something that helps you see when everything is dark.
…The missing letter appears in the stone. A narrow line of light moves through the carvings, filling the ancient gate from top to bottom. The moss-covered walls of the maze begin to shift. Roots pull back from the ground, and a hidden passage opens between the stones. At the end of the passage, another door waits in silence. You step through the door and begin the next part of your adventure.
THE LETTERS IN THE SAND
You are standing on a small island in the middle of the ocean. There are no buildings, no roads, and no people. Only waves, wind, pale sand, and a few broken pieces of wood left near the shore. Behind you, the door has disappeared.
In the sand, you see four deep marks shaped like empty letter spaces:
_ _ _ _
Next to them, someone has placed four small stones. Each stone has a symbol carved into it:
A message is written on a piece of driftwood: “Use what you carried from place to place. The way back is hidden in your collected letters.”
YOUR TASK
Use the four letters you collected in your Travel Log. Put them in the order shown by the stones: empty city street, train platform, hotel elevator, lost forest gate. Enter the word they create.
Look at the letters you collected earlier. Use them in the order shown by the stones.
…For a moment, the island becomes completely silent. Even the waves stop moving. Then the sand in front of you begins to sink, slowly revealing a set of narrow concrete stairs leading underground. Cold air rises from below. At the bottom of the stairs, you see a heavy metal door set into the wall of an old concrete bunker. A small light blinks above it, as if the place has been waiting for someone to return. You step down into the bunker and continue your adventure.
THE LAST ROOM BELOW THE ISLAND
You enter a small concrete room hidden beneath the island. The walls are rough, gray, and cold. Old wires hang from the ceiling. A weak lamp flickers above a metal desk in the center of the room.
On the desk, you see a notebook. Its first page contains a list of every place you visited:
Below the list, someone has written: “You did not only move from place to place. You followed clues, opened doors, collected signs, and returned with a story. What is one word for a path made of many steps?”
YOUR TASK
Think about the whole adventure. What word describes a path, trip, or experience made from many steps and places? Enter the final answer to complete the game.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
Think about the full experience, not only one place. A long trip through many steps can be called a...
…The final answer unlocks the last door. For a moment, everything becomes quiet. Then the heavy bunker walls fade away, the cold air disappears, and warm daylight slowly fills the space. The strange journey through streets, cafés, platforms, parks, hotels, libraries, forests, islands, and hidden places is now complete.
But the most important discovery was not only the final answer. It was the journey itself.
Your Final Word: JOURNEY
Adventure Complete. Congratulations! You have completed all 10 puzzle cards in THE DOORS: First Passage. Keep your Travel Log as a record of your first passage through the doors.
