Some time ago…, we were all sitting at the table playing a traditional board game. We played over an hour, the game was interesting, because there is always fun in board games. But we missed something, the game was slightly monotonous. We lacked stronger emotions during the game.The cards were quickly over, we almost knew them by heart. We began to wonder what could be done to make this type of game more attractive and interesting. And since we are a very creative family, we came up with the idea of creating our own board games. We realized that there is a whole bunch of board games available. And what of it – we thought! In the end there is nothing better than ideas based on your own needs and desires. So we began a family creative process of thinking… By the way, it turned out that there are no such games in the world, in the form and the solution we came up with.

We created an online platform with creative games. There are board games, card games, dice games and traditional cool paper games. We focus on creativity and learning through gameplay.
The biggest motivation to create our own t-shirt board games and card games was the desire to change stereotypes and introduce new, more interesting elements to the family game, in such a way that children, parents, friends and acquaintances more likely meet each other and spend time together. We all know how important interpersonal relationships are and how they give positive benefits in development. We wanted to have something that is created only for us, which we can always take with us on various types of trips, parties. Something that does effect WOW every time ! We care for children (not only our own) and we wanted to give them something that can not be found anywhere, something that will change their world and contribute to their creative development. We wanted to share with other parents what we have created for ourselves. That others may also experience the same and have a happy and adventurous life.
It took us some time until we got back to this idea… as we all know life is full of surprises. But we can tell you that our first t-shirt board game was designed in 2002.
We have recently returned with new interesting ideas. We were already more experienced in life and there were more of us. After few days we had already drawn up the first game boards, more and more interesting solutions. Hundreds of saved and drawn paper sheets were on the desk every day. Each time someone came and gave some interesting idea. After 2 weeks, the first printed boards were created. Well, it was time for the tests, all of us impatiently waited. It worked…
We played every day with breaks for meals, few or more sleepless nights, few missed days from school. During each game we watched what was going on, what actions and emotions take place during the game, what is good, what needs to be changed. And so after many tests and many notes, the final versions of 8 board games were created. We were very happy with the results of our work. Probably that’s why the name 8 DOODLES was created.
We started preparing the website and other materials. We created sets of playing cards, thanks to which, literally every game play is different and interesting. We decided to implement cards online with easy access. Why such a solution? Because it is ideal if you think about it longer. Each of us already played many board games at home, each of us lost many cards, it was not possible to reproduce them. No one will ever buy the same games again just for 8 lost or destroyed cards. Not only that, we decided to print them on T-shirts. Oh, who would have thought! It was awesome idea. Why? The durability of the t-shirt is irreplaceable compared to a regular board. You will get dirty, you will wash it and it’s like new, it will not bend, it will not break. It is easy to transport, hide it even on an uneven surface (recently we played on ground in the forest)
We were very pleased with the results of our joint work…
The next stage has come, probably the most demanding one. We started working on the website and additional materials. We have created sets of playing cards that make every game different and interesting. We decided to put online playing cards on the website in the form of a subscription. Why such a solution? Because it’s perfect, if you think about it. Each of us already had many board games at home, each of us lost cards, there was no way to get new ones. Nobody will buy the same game, only for 8 or 12 lost or damaged cards. Most board games have a very limited number of playing cards. That’s why placing online playing cards has given us great opportunities to create and add thousands of cards in one place.
But that’s not all, there is something more… we have added the option of creating your own playing cards (depending on your subscription). We decided to apply such a solution that it would be even more interesting and more fun during the game, by using our own cards. In addition, you can print your own cards on your home printer and enjoy them even more. Custom cards can be edited at any time, depending on your needs. Imagine a party or birthday, there are a few friends and you are preparing a special set of cards for them. You are on vacation and you make new friends, design your own set of cards or use the ready set “Let’s get to know each other better”. You can edit cards, delete or add new ones. A lot of new opportunities. Is not that great?
Every month we add new cards, different sets, where everyone will find something for themselves. Even in one game you can use multiple sets of cards, so the game will not be boring and monotonous. Each set of cards provides different emotions during the game. There is creativity and learning through gameplay. We hope that our games and services will bring a new look at the world around us.
Some of the cards contain educational elements, other information, some are embarrassing, and still others will cause laughter. We tried to create and choose cards and sets in such a way to stimulate the development of the mind and cause different emotions during each game. It should be mentioned here that there are also sets of dedicated cards available for players, which are assigned to specific board games and fit only to them.
