What are Digital Dice?
Digital Dice are smartphone based dice experiences powered by QRious Cards. Depending on the set, they can generate standard dice results or specially designed results created for particular games and 8doodles systems.
Do I need an app to use Digital Dice?
No. Digital Dice are browser based and can be opened directly on your smartphone without downloading or installing an app.
How do I roll a Digital Die?
On the main screen, tap ROLL to generate your first result. The selected die result will appear on the screen.
To roll again, tap the roll icon at the bottom of the screen. A new result will then be generated and displayed.
Do Digital Dice always show numbers from 1 to 6?
No. Standard Digital Dice sets use familiar results from 1 to 6, while specialized sets can display different values, symbols, letters, or combinations designed for a particular game or purpose.
Are there different Digital Dice themes?
Yes. Digital Dice are available in different visual themes and styles, giving you different ways to match the dice experience with a game, activity, or simply your personal preference.
Can I roll more than one Digital Die?
Most Digital Dice sets are designed to display a single result, but 8doodles. If you need several standard dice, you can use the built in traditional Digital Dice option or, just for fun, open individual Digital Dice on multiple smartphones and place them next to each other. Some specialized Digital Dice sets can also generate multiple values or combinations at once when required by a particular game or system.
Can Digital Dice be used with regular board games?
Yes. Digital Dice sets that generate standard results from 1 to 6 can be used with many board games and activities that normally require a standard six sided die.
Can Digital Dice work with the Dice Card System?
Yes. We created a dedicated Digital Dice set specifically for the 8doodles Dice Card System. Instead of rolling three physical dice separately, the digital version generates the combination of numbers and letters needed to identify the corresponding card content.
This gives players another way to use the Dice Card System when they prefer a digital roll while keeping the same card reference system.
Do Digital Dice replace physical dice?
They can, but they do not have to. Digital Dice provide another way to generate results when physical dice are unavailable, inconvenient, or when you simply want to use one of the themed or game specific digital sets.
