How does the QRious Card Edition of SHORT STORIES work?

The QRious Card Edition gives 8doodles Members an alternative way to play SHORT STORIES without rolling physical dice. Players use digital QRious Cards on their smartphone to reveal the symbols that become part of their story.

As symbols are collected, players can sketch them on the SHORT STORIES game sheet. These simple drawings act as visual reminders of the elements they have gained and can later use when creating and telling their story.

The QRious Card Edition and its supporting materials are available as part of 8doodles Membership.

What is the SHORT STORIES game sheet used for?

The game sheet helps players remember the symbols they collect during the game. Instead of simply recording scores or results, players can quickly sketch the revealed graphics and build a visual collection of elements for their story.

When it is time to tell the story, these drawings become prompts that help players remember what they collected and inspire how the different elements can be connected into a story.

How is the SHORT STORIES QRious Card Edition different from ZIP & PLAY?

The QRious Card Edition is part of 8doodles Membership and combines digital QRious Cards with downloadable materials for SHORT STORIES.

ZIP & PLAY is a separate physical version supplied in a portable pouch. It uses the original 2-dice system together with physical Dynamic Card Tokens and can be personalized according to the options available for SHORT STORIES.

Can I play SHORT STORIES using a game board printed on a T-shirt?

Yes. 8doodles Members can download a SHORT STORIES game board graphic prepared for T-shirt printing, together with the corresponding printable game sheet.

You can play using your own dice or 8doodles Digital Dice. As you collect symbols from the board, you can sketch them on the game sheet and use them later to build your story. Small, safe everyday objects can also serve as Dynamic Tokens, with Membership providing access to the Online Cards connected to SHORT STORIES.

Can I sell SHORT STORIES game files or products featuring the game board?

No. Downloadable SHORT STORIES game boards, game sheets, and related materials provided through 8doodles Membership are for personal use only. They cannot be resold, shared, distributed, or used to create products for commercial sale.

This applies to the digital files as well as physical products created with them, including T-shirts and other items featuring the SHORT STORIES game board.
